Specific Information
Nano-Patterned Sapphire Substrate (NPSS) enables more uniform epitaxial lateral overgrowth and significantly reduces interfacial defects between GaN and the sapphire substrate. The nanoscale patterning helps to relieve lattice strain and enhance crystal alignment, leading to lower dislocation density and better refractive index matching. As a result, NPSS improves the crystalline quality of GaN epitaxy and enhances the overall performance of optoelectronic devices such as LEDs and Micro LEDs.

These nanoscale structures create stronger light scattering and refraction effects compared to traditional micro-patterns, thereby further enhancing the light extraction efficiency and improving the overall luminous performance of LED and Micro LED devices.
